Field Trip Adventure: Exploring Villa Escudero

Hey everyone! Today, I'm excited to share my recent field trip experience to Villa Escudero, a stunning resort located just a few hours away from our school. Although the trip was optional due to its cost, only six came in my section. The day started early. I woke up at 4:10 am, grabbed a quick bite, and rushed to school for our assembly at 4:45 am Thankfully, despite the tight schedule, I managed to make it on time, thanks to a cab ride to the assembly point. Our bus was waiting, and after a short stop for breakfast and comfort, we hit the road and arrived at Villa Escudero full of anticipation. Our first stop was the museum tour. The collection was amazing—rare artifacts and pieces from around the world. Photography was restricted, which made the experience even more exclusive. Next up was a unique team-building activity that unfortunately got rained out, but we made the best of it under shelter and then enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch.

After lunch, we had the option to watch a cultural show or head straight to the swimming pools. Intrigued, we decided to check out the show first, but we got a bit lost navigating the vast resort. Eventually, we made it but couldn't find good seats due to the crowd. So, we decided to dive into the pools instead.

The resort had a variety of swimming spots—the public pool, a refreshing jacuzzi, and even the famed Labasin Waterfall Restaurant. It was exhilarating to swim near a waterfall, although the water was icy cold! We spent the afternoon splashing around, taking photos, and just enjoying the beautiful surroundings. As the day wound down, we gathered our things and boarded our bus, reflecting on the day's adventures. The field trip was not only enjoyable but also educational, offering us a glimpse into history, nature, and Filipino culture. Overall, Villa Escudero was a fantastic destination for our field trip. Despite a few hiccups like the rain and the challenge of navigating such a large resort, it was a day filled with fun, laughter, and new experiences.
